Read 5.0 Invitation for the seven topics covered that may take many years in searching the Bible to come to know the truth being shared in CL5

5.0 Invitation

The purpose in God permitting Satan to inflict Covid-19 as a contagiouskiller disease of pandemic proportion is to wake His people with His providential message to get ready for the impending end of the world (discussed in CL1).The effective measure that China adopted in lockdowns was adapted and followed
by the rest of the world. The consequence is the interference of relationship -i n family, work and social activities and trade. (This is the counter to God’s will devised by Satan, Christ’s arch enemy, to separate man from God.) The prolonged use of lockdowns have resultedin protests in parts of Europe dissatisfied with the economic and political inequalities of the current global system. Even China had to succumb to finally moving away from its zero-Covid policy and looking to "live with the virus" like the rest of the world. The Communist party wisely heeded the peoplevoicing not only an end to Covid restrictions, but more remarkably for political freedoms.

By divine design as an outflow of God’s character of love, human beings are made in God’s image and given the free will to decide in this life to learn to love Him and to love one another as in a family relationship engaged in active active service (See more in later discussion)

5.01 CL5 Framework

The seven interrelated topics involved in living in loving relationship with God who gave us this life are the deep things (1Cor2:10) in the mystery of godliness to train for holiness in order to see God face to face and be with Him for all eternity. 1. Knowing the present truth of the gospel is essential inrecognizing and sharing with others in view of the impending end of the world with the second coming of Jesus. 2.Fundamental to knowing God is by faith (Salvation by faith-God’s plan ofsalvation for deceived and fallen mankind) which is in knowing the “Righteousness by Faith principles that Jesus opened up in His longest discourse, in the Sermon on the Mount of Blessing (MB). Furthermore, we know that the best practical way to get to know someone and form an intimate relationship is to spend time in his company. 3. This is readily available by daily bible study, in humbly seeking with sincere prayer God’s word for an hour a day to claim Jesus promise that everything will be added unto you and we don’t have to worry about tomorrow (Matt6:33,34). 4. We will be led to know about the Sanctuary service instituted by Moses on God’s directive which is a copy of the heavenly Sanctuary, God’s throne in the universe. 5. The fifth is God’s faithfulness in keeping His covenant in the bilateral covenant and we are to keep our part in returning tithe. Thiswill be covered under bible study 1st qtr, 2023. 6. Section Six introduces Prayer walk, the strategy Pr. RonClouzet has recommended to walk and pray together for God to open the hearts of people in our cities (since the city is whereover 50% of every nations dwells), to the urgency in accepting the invitation of Jesus as our Saviour, for our only remedy over sin and defeat the second or eternal death. 7. The conclusion (the underlying seventh topic) is in Jesus and His sacrificial love that we might live, a subject so amazing and stupendous we will get to learn throughout all eternity.

5.02 Love, Righteousness, Mercy and Justice in God’s Relationship

“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee withan everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.” Jer 31:3.

“We love Him, because He first loved us.” 1Jn 4:19

The true love of God (Jer 31:3; 1Jn4:19) that many unbelievers, doubters and speculators fail to perceive is in giving us this life that we did not ask for. The individual must experience in relationship with Him and assimilate His love by faith in Jesus. It is in this life that God is preparing human beings made a little lower than angels to repopulate heaven, to replace the rebellious angels incited by Lucifer, mysteriously becoming Satan, in the cosmic great controversy that started in heaven and were cast down by Christ. Our all-wise God, supreme ruler of the universe in goodness and righteousness created Earth confined in finite time, as a theater to un-fallen angels,human beings on earth, and other un-fallen being in other worlds, to address and reveal the mystery of sin and the atrocious, heinous and deadly consequence of sin which is the transgression of God’s law, the foundation of God’s government. Satan and his evil angels and deceived earthly followers must be made to acknowledge their unjustifiable sin against God and deserving their condemnation to eternal death. Through the trials and tribulations in changing adversecircumstances in our temporal sojourn on earthGod prepares His future sons and daughters by their experience of living in relationship and service with the Father, the theme of CL5.

5.02.1 Way to Love God and Neighbours

Jesus says the sum total of the law and the prophets is in having the love for God and neighbours (Mat 22:37-40). It is God who gives us the power to overcome sins through His grace. Christians having been justified by faith “God’s love has been pouredi nto our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us” ( Rom 5:1,5) Thus ”Christians are a partaker ofdivine nature “ 2Pet 1:4

God’s love is ‘agape’ (benevolent) Love. It is not doing what the person loved desires, but the one who loves deems what is needed by the one loved. God gave not what man needed but what He perceived the best of man’sneeds, namely His Son who brought forgiveness to man. But for man to show love for God he must first appropriate God’s agape, for only God has such an unselfish love.

The Bible has given us the case study in the rich young ruler asking Jesus to confirm he is assured of eternal life for he has been keeping the law (Luk 18;18-21). But Jesus reads that his heart was selfish and covetous for his conception of the law was external and superficial only. Judged by a human standard, he had preserved an unblemished character. To a great degree, his outward life had been free from guilt, he verily thought his obedience had been without a flaw. Christ read the ruler’s heart, that he only one thing, he lacked the one vital principle; he needed the love of God (agape love) in his soul, not just human love. which can be selfish. He needed the love of God in his soul, this lack unless supplied would prove fatal to him.

‘There is a way that seems right to a man but the way leads to death’, and the young rich ruler was on the road to death, and did not know it. He verily thought he was on the road to heaven, a good young man. He did not have the love of God in his soul. (“Many are deceiving themselves; for the principle of love does not dwell in their hearts”. (SD) 49)

To have that kind love we don’t get it by trying, we get it by receiving Christ every day, Christ working in us to will and do of His good pleasure.

5.02.1.1 Spiritual Light for the Rich

Jesus only required him [the rich young ruler] to go where He led the way. The thorny path of duty becomes easier to followwhen we trace His divine footsteps before us, pressing down the briers. Christ
would have accepted this talented and noble ruler, if he had yielded to His requirements, as readily as He accepted the poor fishermen whom He bade to follow Him. {CS 151.4} (Thus, when Christ calls us to sell everything and follow Him we must readily accept what He bides us to do.This is the full surrender so that Christ can abide in you.

The young ruler represents a large class.. (that does not realise)..Christ has entrusted to them capital of talents and means (His stewards), and He expects corresponding returns. That which the rich possess is not our own, but isto be employed in serving Him from whom we have received all we have.--R. & H., March 21, 1878. {CS 152.2}

The young man's ability to acquire property was not against him, provided he loved his neighbor as himself, and had not wronged another in acquiring his riches. That very ability, had it been employed in theservice of God in seeking to save souls from ruin, would have been acceptable to the divine Master, and he might have made a diligent and successful worker for Christ. But he refused the exalted privilege of cooperating with Christ in the salvation of souls; he turned away from theglorious treasure promised him in the kingdom of God, and clung to the fleeting treasures of earth. . ..(which the rich will lose at his death) {CS 152.1}

When the rich young ruler had turned away from Jesus, the disciples had marvelled at their Master's saying, "How hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!" They had exclaimed one to
another, "Who then can be saved?" Now they had a demonstration of the truth of Christ's words, "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." Mark 10:24, 26; Luke 18:27. They saw how, through the grace of God, a rich mancould enter into the kingdom. {DA 555.3}

No repentance is genuine that does not work reformation. The righteousness of Christ (is not a cloakto cover unconfessed and sin;) it is a principle of life that transforms the character and controls the conduct. Holiness is wholeness for God; it is the entire surrenderof heart and life to the indwelling of the principles of heaven. {DA 555.6} (in other word, the imparted righteousness in justification does not cover us when we sin.)

A consistent faith is rare among rich men. Genuine faith, sustained by works, is rare. But all who possess this faith will be men who will not lack influence. They will copy after Christ in that disinterested benevolence and interest in the work of saving souls that He had. The followers of Christ should value souls as He valued them. Their sympathies should be with the work of their dear Redeemer, and they should labor to save the purchase of His blood at any sacrifice. What are money, houses, and lands, in comparison with even one soul?--R.& H., Feb. 23, 1886. {CS 152.3}
